Accessed by a half mile of private farm track, Shenavallie Farmhouse is situated in a wonderfully secluded position surrounded by farmland. This rambling farmhouse provides spacious and comfortable accommodation with an open fire and rayburn stove. Dating back to the early 1800’s, this stone built property was the original farmhouse for the farm and provides a perfect family holiday base - there is even a private beach just a 10 minute walk from the farmhouse offering spectacular views to the neighbouring islands and the hills of Morvern beyond. The property is located next to the farmyard and as Shenavallie Farm is a working farm - breeding Highland Cattle, beef cattle and sheep, the animals are free to roam over the surrounding land and beach and are occasionally found on the road!
The village of Benderloch is about 2 miles away where there is a well stocked grocery store, petrol station, restaurant, tearoom, children's go-kart centre and fish and chip van. Scuba Diving, Sea Angling, Sailing, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Gliding and Forest Walks are all available locally and the Shian Wood Nature Reserve, Sealife Sanctuary and Kintaline Poultry and Wildfowl Park are just a short distance away. The main town of Oban is only 11 miles with all its amenities and ferry services to the islands, whilst Fort William and the famous ‘Road to the Isles’ are within easy reach.
Ground floor: large farmhouse dining kitchen with oil-fired Rayburn. Lounge with open fire. Dining Room. 2 bedrooms - 1 double room and 1 room with good quality double futon; can be used as children’s playroom or reading room. Utility area. Shower room with WC and wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Front porch.
First Floor: 3 bedrooms - 1 double with wash hand basin and TV, 1 twin room with wash hand basin, 1 single room with wash hand basin. Bathroom with bath, over bath electric shower, WC and wash hand basin.
Facilities: oil-fired rayburn (for heating and hot water), gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, dish washer, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Colour TV with Freeview, Video player and Video library, DVD player, CD player. Bed linen and towels provided Open fire (back boiler) in lounge with starter pack. Extra fuel available for open fire by arrangement with owners. Central heating throughout. Oil and electricity charged at end of let. Drying green. Garden and patio area with seating. Private parking. Non-smokers only please. 1 well behaved dog (please bear in mind this is a working farm). Wildfowl shooting may be available during the winter months by prior arrangement.
